Livorno Art Book Fair

As one of the important creative media in contemporary art, the Artist’s Book transcends the conventional definition of publishing by transforming the book itself into a significant vehicle for artistic expression. Bringing together visual art, design, photography, text, material experimentation, and conceptual practice, the artist’s book is not merely intended to be read; it also serves as an extension of the artist’s ideas, narrative approaches, and creative methodologies. In recent years, with its openness, diversity, and experimental character, the artist’s book has become an increasingly prominent field of interest for museums, art institutions, independent publishing platforms, and art fairs around the world. In 2026, the inaugural Livorno Art Book Fair was held at the Museo della Città di Livorno in Livorno, Italy. The fair brought together artists, independent publishers, designers, photographers, curators, and art academies from around the world, presenting a diverse range of practices and recent developments in the creation and publishing of artist’s books. Through exhibitions, forums, presentations, and academic discussions, the fair further promoted international exchange and collaboration in the field of artist’s books, while providing a cross-cultural platform for professional dialogue among artists, publishers, curators, and the public. The fair was officially inaugurated at 6:00 PM on July 31 at the Museo della Città di Livorno, Italy. As one of the participating institutions, A60 International Art presented works by 24 Chinese artists: Bao Fusheng, Chen Jianping, Chen Shuozi, Chen Zhiming, Liao Weicheng, Gui Ming, Huang Xinkuo, Ji Siyan, Jiang Yifan, Jiang Yongyan, Lei Shuang, Li Chengxi, Li Zhen, Lin Fangsuo, Liu Wu, Sang Zhuo, Wei Zhen, Xie Yutong, Yang Li, Ye Peiji, Ye Xiaozhou, Yu Xinyu, Zhao Zengyi, and Zheng Jingjing, alongside the 2021–2025 China–Italy Contemporary Art Yearbook series. Through the joint presentation of artworks and academic publications, A60 International Art’s participation offered a concentrated overview of the achievements made in recent years in China–Italy contemporary art exchange and art publishing practices. It also further strengthened international dialogue, cultural exchange, and professional collaboration between China and Italy in the field of contemporary art.
